Welcome Aboard!

This Easter Bank holiday I was asked to create a floral design for a nautically themed hen party. What better prop to use than a lifeboat ring?! The party took place on a barge (hence the theme) and the arrangement was to be presented to the bride to be.

I wanted to make something with a relaxed feel that was highly textured with touches of vibrant colours, so I used a mix of eucalyptus, trailing ruscus, solidago and wax flower to create an intricate garland. Beautifully bright cymbidium orchids and blue thistles were the focal flowers, while¬†smaller spray roses and flashes of pink ranunculus finished the garland off. I’m hoping this little piece didn’t go over board…..
